 Columbo says, “I have a few things I’d like to clear up.” To clear up means to solve or explain some misunderstandings.   

Check out the examples:

“During dinner the confusion was cleared up: they had mistaken me for Kenny. “

They thought he was Kenny, but, during dinner, this misunderstanding was solved, explained.

Clear up can also refer, among other things, to the weather.

“The weather cleared up and the sun came out.”

The sky was probably very cloudy, and then it cleared up, in other words, all the clouds disappeared.

Observe the use of the question “Like what?” that Clifford asks Columbo. This is similar to the expression in Portuguese, “Tipo o quê?”
